Ingredients:
Rice - 4 tbsp
Moong Dal - 2 tbsp
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Salt a pinch
Water - 1/2 cup
Method:
Wash and pressure cook rice and dal together. When warm remove add salt and ghee and mash well.
The babies can be fed with this weaning food. Initially the consistency of the mashed kichadi should be very fine so that it will be easy for the baby to swallow. Gradually the consistency can be increased to semi solid and solid state so that once the baby gets teeth it will chew the food.
